New trailers: Foundation, Hamilton, Brave New World, and more – The Verge

I’ve been making my way through Studio Ghibli films now that they’re up on HBO Max, and last week I got around to watching Kiki’s Delivery Service for the first time. It’s a remarkably charming film, and it shows Ghibli coming a long way in figuring out what, uh, plot is after the extremely bare bones My Neighbor Totoro came out just a year earlier. Kiki’s Delivery Service adds just enough stakes to Ghibli’s beautiful worlds to make you care about what’s happening, but not so much to actually get you stressed out. The film is serene to watch — almost every character is remarkably nice and generous, the landscapes are gorgeous, and the talking cat doesn’t hurt either. Check out 11 trailers from this week below. Matthew Lewis Jaw-Dropping Transformation and More Harry Potter Kids Then and Now – E! NEWS

David M. Benett/Dave Benett/ Getty Imagesfor Lacoste Lewis said on the Mantality podcast this year that his growing-up experience was actually "relatively normal, to be totally honest," though he knew some of his co-stars could tell a different story. "I was very, very fortunate and I don't know if it's a Leeds thing, a Yorkshire thing—maybe I was just lucky—my mates in the school that I went to, they didn't really give a s--t," Lewis recalled. "I went away for months at a time and when I came back, people barely even kinda bat an eyelid. I just suddenly was on the bus one morning...and just crack on with it." He still hangs out with a lot of those old mates, too, when he's in town. "It was kind of, just, really normal," Lewis concluded, "which I think has really helped later on in life.....

7 Top Stocks to Buy When the Stock Market Crashes – Motley Fool

Over the last four-plus months, Wall Street and investors have been taken on an historic ride. Panic and uncertainty associated with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) initially sent the widely followed S&P 500 lower by a whopping 34% in just 33 calendar days. That's the fastest and steepest descent into bear market territory in history. However, over the following 11 weeks, the benchmark S&P 500 regained more than 80% of its losses, with the technology-focused Nasdaq Composite galloping to new highs. And mind you, all of this has occurred with the unemployment rate at highs not seen since the Great Depression and COVID-19 cases ticking higher in a number of U.S. states. While the stock market has historically bottomed out well before the U.S. economy found its trough, there ...

A broken uptrend in a key government bond yield could be a bad omen for stocks – MarketWatch

So much for the V-shaped recovery. The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note TMUBMUSD10Y, 0.647% just broke below a rising trend line, to suggest the uptrend off the COVID-19 low in early March has ended. That uptrend in rates was significant for both Main Street and Wall Street. It helped to support the belief that the worst of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy was over, with data suggesting the labor market was improving rapidly as all 50 U.S. states phased in measures to reopen their economies. See Economic Reports for recent economic data.Bond yields rise as prices fall. “The break here suggests that the pattern of higher lows since April has been blocked, and we may see lower yields in sessions...
