Who returned Lady Gagas stolen dogs? – Fox News

Lady Gaga has been reunited with her two French bulldogs thanks to an anonymous good Samaritan who found them in Los Angeles. The performer's dog walker, Ryan Fischer, was shot once as he walked three of the singer's dogs in Hollywood. Video showed a white sedan pulling up and two men jumping out. They struggled with the dog walker before one pulled a gun and fired a single shot before fleeing with two of the dogs. The third escaped and has since been reunited with Lady Gaga's representatives. On Saturday, the LAPD confirmed that a woman brought the dogs to its Olympic Community Police station around 6 p.m. Because the singer is currently in Rome, her representatives joined detectives at the station and confirmed that the woman did indeed have the two dogs with her.  Capt. Jonathan Ti...

The Golden Globes weirdest nominations: Sias Music and more – New York Post

It’s a cherished American tradition: Once a year, we come together to question the integrity and taste of the Golden Globe Awards. And in 2021, the ceremony honoring film and TV has given us plenty of strange choices to whine about. Last week, it was revealed that the Netflix show “Emily in Paris” reportedly flew ⅓ of the 90-person Globes voting bloc to Paris and put them up in the $1,400-a-night Peninsula hotel for a junket. The chic trip to the City of Lights might have helped net the show two nominations, including best comedy series. Meanwhile, Sia’s nominated film “Music” is awash in controversy for its happy-go-lucky portrayal of autism. And to cap it all off, it was reported just days ago that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which puts on the ce...

T.I. and Tiny Accused of Sexual Assault; Lawyer Seeks Investigation – The New York Times

For the military veteran, the night took a turn when T.I. and Ms. Harris invited her and a few others to join them when they left the club, she said. Believing they were going to continue the party elsewhere, she recalled going along willingly. Instead they went to a hotel room where the other guests were quickly asked to leave, according to the lawyer’s letter, and the woman began to suffer the effects of whatever she’d ingested — though she’d consumed less than two drinks, the letter said. Her friend, from whom she’d been separated, never made it to the room; she was throwing up in the lobby restroom, she said in an interview. According to the letter, Ms. Harris suggested that the military veteran “freshen up,” and brought her to the bathroom, where the woman, intoxicated and overwhelme...

Disinformation experts aren’t happy about the trailer for HBO’s QAnon series – The Verge

The teaser video for Q: Into the Storm, an upcoming documentary series from HBO about the QAnon conspiracy movement has a lot of deplatforming experts concerned; it looks more like a preview for a spy thriller than a careful examination of the umbrella group of conspiracy theories. The breathless tone might be effective at building hype, but it has many disinformation experts concerned. Ben Collins, one of the leading journalists covering online radicalization, tweeted that the trailer was “being marketed in a way that could recruit more people.” Promoted by HBO as a series that “charts a labyrinthine journey to unmask the mastermind behind QAnon,” critics pointed out that the trailer felt a lot like “a recruitment video for Q.” disinfo community: *soberly* how do we balan...

Seniors Seeking Vaccines Have a Problem: They Can’t Use the Internet – The New York Times

Plenty of seniors do feel comfortable texting, tweeting and surfing the internet. But for those who do not, taking the time to learn a new skill often feels daunting, Mr. Kamber said. Older Adults Technology Services has taught 48,000 people how to get started online since the pandemic began, he said, and operates a tech support hotline. When vaccine sign-ups began, staff on the phones fielded thousands of questions about how to book appointments. Area Agencies on Aging, part of a national aging network funded by the federal government and overseen by the Administration for Community Living, are also helping out. Local chapters have been calling seniors and helping them register for vaccine appointments over the phone or in person, said Sandy Markwood, the chief executive of the Area Age...
