Yolo County health officials said Thursday that they’re dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak at a Woodland care facility. Woodland Residential Services — a facility that provides care for the developmentally disabled — has 10 confirmed cases, according to a news release from the county. One resident has died, the county said. Six of the cases are among residents at the facility and four are staff members. The county said that everyone at the facility is being tested and that people who have tested positive for COVID-19 will be isolated in a separate building.The county has seen a “dramatic” rise in cases in the past three to four weeks and has more than 1,000 confirmed cases, the news release says. Yolo County is among more than two-dozen counties that are on the state’s coronavirus watchlist. When a county is added to the list and stays on the list for three or more days, it is asked to close indoor operations for some businesses.
