Douglas County Health officials announced Thursday an expansion of the COVID-19 vaccination effort to include those age 65 to 69.The Health Department said it has received additional doses, allowing it to broaden the base of those eligible to schedule a vaccination beyond the previous limit of 70 and up.It also announced it would expand hours for Saturday’s vaccination clinic at Creighton University’s Rasmussen Center to run from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.The expanded eligibility begins February 20th. Starting Friday morning, appointments can be made online at www.douglascountyhealth.com. Those without internet access may call 402-444-3400.Douglas County advised additional clinics are planned, but it was not ready to announce locations. The Health Department also advised those who have already scheduled an appointment to keep it, rather than try to reschedule for new openings.
