Sore throat, achy and headaches. And I couldn’t breathe,” Schultz said.He said he still plays recreational basketball and considered himself healthy until he contracted the deadly virus.”It’s kicking my (expletive). But I’m a fighter. I’ve got too much to live for. I’ve got a beautiful fiancé who is taking care of our 10-year-old son,” Schultz said.He wasn’t feeling well last week and tested positive for COVID-19.”I want everybody to know this is real. This isn’t fake news,” Schultz said. “Our president would rather tell a lie to make people feel good about their lot in life than tell the truth.”He said as soon as he received his diagnosis, he closed his bar and restaurant to protect others.”I’m getting the best care available. I’m blessed. I’ve got such a community behind me,” Schultz said. “And the outpouring of love, prayers, and well wishes sent to me and my family. “COVID just takes over. It just fills your lungs up. I got so much fluid in my lungs now. That’s why I can’t breathe,” he said.
He spoke to WISN 12 News Friday from his hospital bed.
“I was getting worse and worse. Sore throat, achy and headaches. And I couldn’t breathe,” Schultz said.
He said he still plays recreational basketball and considered himself healthy until he contracted the deadly virus.
“It’s kicking my (expletive). But I’m a fighter. I’ve got too much to live for. I’ve got a beautiful fiancé who is taking care of our 10-year-old son,” Schultz said.
