The Masked Singer US has finally solved one of this season’s most perplexing mysteries, with the celebrity identities of Russian Dolls revealed at last.
After missing out to fellow contestants Black Swan, Piglet, Yeti and Chameleon, the Russian Dolls bid farewell to the competition following their performance of Sir Elton John’s ‘I’m Still Standing’.
Both Nicole Scherzinger and Jenny McCarthy managed to correctly guess the stars behind the mask(s), with guest panellist Rob Riggle in agreement, too.

In a series first, The Masked Singer US unmasked a band as the Russian Dolls – namely Hanson, the group behind the 1997 ear-worm ‘MMMBop’.
Speaking to Variety about their experience on the show, Zac Hanson – along with his brothers Isaac and Taylor – credited the show for allowing them to “play” with the idea “of how many people are on stage”.
“Whenever we could, we tried to keep playing that game,” Zac explained. “Because we know, part of the show is the spectacle of the costumes in the game of guessing, and the other part is the quality of the music and the performances…

“There were cases where there were two dolls on stage but we were all three still there, we would put two people in the big doll, which was very claustrophobic.”
As well as being claustrophobic, Isaac admitted that the Russian Doll costume didn’t exactly lend itself to moving freely.
“I would say the most difficult thing about it was just being able to see where you’re going,” he revealed. “Your actual range of motion with regard to your feet and stuff is actually pretty limited because of the way that costume was.”
