THE STATE’S TOTAL NUMBER OF CASES, IS NOW MORE THAN 196,000 SINCE THE START OF THE PANDEMIC. NIGEL: DHEC IS ALSO REPORTING 23 MORE PEOPLE HAVE DIED WITH COVID-19. SOUTH CAROLINA’S DEATH TOLL IS NOW MORE THAN 4,000. DHEC SAYS MORE THAN 10,000 TESTS WERE RETURNED YESTERDAY AND THAT 13.2% OF THOSE TESTS WERE POSITIVE. NORTH CAROLINA SAW ANOTHER RECORD HIGH RATE. — HIGH RATE FOR COVID-19 HOSPITALIZATIONS AND MORE THAN 3,000 NEW CASES. THE TOTAL NUMBER OF CASES ACROSS THE STATE IS MORE THAN 342,000. THE STATE REPORTED 35 ADDITIONAL DEATHS, THE STATE’S DEATH TOLL IS MORE THAN 5,000 TONIGHT. ACROSS THE STATE, OVER 1700 PATIENTS ARE CURRENTLY HOSPITALIZED DUE TO THE VIRUS. NOW WE WANT TO TAKE INTO GEORGIA AND SHOW YOU THE NUMBERS THERE. HEALTH OFFICIALS ARE REPORTING MORE THAN 2400 NEW CONFIRMED CASES OF COVID-19.
