Live from New York, it’s Pete Davidson’s ego.
The stand-up comedian joked during the latest “Saturday Night Live” cold open that he’s having “more fun” — all while his girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, was dealing with more drama involving her estranged husband, Kanye West.
The skit began with “SNL” featured player James Austin Johnson holding a press conference as President Biden.
A futuristic-looking Davidson suddenly appeared and claimed to be the “real” Biden, explaining that they were in an alternate universe “created as a joke starting in 2016.”
“Did you really think you would lose four times and then finally win when you were 78?” Davidson’s character jokingly asked.
“Everyone is better off in the ‘real world’ except for one man: Pete Davidson,” he continued. “His world is maybe more fun for him.”
Davidson’s not-so-subtle reference to himself dominating real-life headlines for dating Kardashian, 41, could have been a response to West’s new diss track, “Eazy.”
The day before the comic took the stage, West’s song with The Game leaked online with the lyric, “God saved me from that crash / Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s ass.”
West, 44, was referencing his near-fatal car accident in 2002. He also rapped about his divorce from Kardashian: “We havin’ the best divorce ever / If we go to court, we’ll go to court together / Matter of fact, pick up your sis, we’ll go to Kourt’s together.”
A source told Page Six that the “Donda” rapper’s current girlfriend, Julia Fox, is unbothered by his lyrical attack on Kardashian’s man, saying, “Obviously she hopes this doesn’t cause more drama for Ye, but he’s an artist and this is how he chooses to express himself, and she can’t judge that.”
West has had a rough couple of days, as he is being investigated for battery after allegedly punching a fan last Thursday morning. He also publicly accused Kardashian of not letting him attend their daughter Chicago’s fourth birthday party over the weekend, though he eventually showed up to the celebration thanks to Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott.
Ye then threw his own party for Chicago after crashing his estranged wife’s bash.
Kardashian has denied that she is keeping West from their four children: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago and Psalm, 2.
