A Massachusetts-born actress who has starred in several Hallmark Channel Christmas movies is mourning the loss of her parents, who were both found dead this week in their Worcester home.Alicia Witt said in a statement that she asked a cousin to check on her parents Monday, after not hearing from them for several days. “Sadly, the outcome was unimaginable,” she wrote. Worcester police confirmed that officers were sent to the home at 8 Sussex Lane around 8:20 p.m. on Monday. They found a man and a woman deceased in the home.The deceased were identified as Robert Witt, 87, and Diane Witt, 75.”There were no signs of foul play,” police said. “There were no air quality issues.”The medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death through autopsies. “I ask for some privacy at this time to grieve and to wrap my head around this turn of events, and this surreal loss,” Witt wrote in her statement. Witt’s acting career has included several made-for-television Christmas films; roles in popular TV shows like “Orange Is the New Black,” “Friday Night Lights” and “Law & Order;” and big-screen roles in “Vanilla Sky” and the 1984 version of “Dune.” Witt is also a singer/songwriter and an author.She is also a classically trained pianist and recording artist whose latest album “The Conduit” was released in the fall.
