The coronavirus took over the world in 2020, and now in 2022 it’s showing no signs of disappearing anytime soon. The virus’ latest variant, Omicron, is proving to be a lot more transmissible than any to have come before.
Football, other sports, and almost every other pastime have been at risk with Omicron’s spread of late, and experts have warned of the symptoms the variant can cause in people, again encouraging caution.
A number of symptoms are commonly known now and associated with a possible case of COVID-19, from headaches, muscle aches, runny noses, sneezing, lower back pain, and night sweats.
Additionally, other signs of the virus have been reported, including nausea, hair loss, conjunctivitis, coughing, a fever, and a slight loss of smell and taste. The loss of smell, though, is more associated with the Delta variant than with Omicron.
Should you find yourself having any of the above symptoms, it is advised that you take an antigen test and isolate at home.
