On a recent episode of his eponymous talk show, Nick admitted his celibacy journey began way back in September when he revealed to his therapist that he was expecting his eighth child and felt like his life was ‘out of control.’

Nick, who announced last year that he was ‘taking a break’ from having kids after fathering three children in June, revealed on his talk show that he decided to abstain from having sex after he found out about Bre’s pregnancy.
Nick and Bre, who was previously married to Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Johnny Manziel, recently hosted a gender reveal party in Malibu where they found out that she is expecting a baby boy due in spring.
‘My therapist was one of the [people] who said that I should probably be celibate because I had shared that news, that Bre was pregnant,’ he said on his self-titled talk show during a conversation with Angela Yee.
‘That was the reason why I started my celibacy journey back then. I was [celibate] because I was dealing with [this].’

He added: ‘I felt like my life was out of control. And honestly, the celibacy did help me through the journey of getting one with myself and dealing with this.’
While he noted having so many children is ‘a challenge,’ he’s not ruling out the potential for more family planning in the future.
‘I just want to have as many children as I can … provide for and be a good father too,’ Cannon said. ‘I want to be the best father that I could possibly be, but I’m not counting out ever having more children.’
Cannon said in September that he was taking a break from having kids on good authority from his therapist.
