The daily number of cases for Thursday — currently at 521 — is incomplete because more test results are still being processed.Of the new patients, 507 were confirmed through PCR testing, while 275 tested positive via the antigen test. The daily PCR test positivity rate for Friday’s report was 4.3%. Included in the group of new diagnoses are 96 patients under the age of 18.There are 4,720 active coronavirus cases and 159 patients are currently hospitalized. Officials said most of the new patients either had close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 or are connected to a long-term care facility that is currently enduring a COVID-19 outbreak. The state is monitoring approximately 9,550 people who were potentially exposed to COVID-19. Since early March, more than 23,000 Granite Staters have been diagnosed with COVID-19. The deaths of 552 people have been attributed to the virus.
