Meet BTS All Over Again in Revealing Second Break the Silence Movie Trailer – Billboard

BTS provide a peek behind the scenes of their global success in the emotional second trailer for their upcoming documentary, Break the Silence: The Movie. The one-minute sneak peek that dropped on Thursday (Sept. 3) shows the superstar K-pop septet performing in massive stadiums around the world in between snippets of more reflective moments during which they share their thoughts on the rigors of constantly being in the spotlight.

The film, directed by Park Jun-soo, is BTS’ fourth film to date, and it follows their global stadium tour in support of 2019’s Love Yourself: Speak Yourself. After each member introduces themselves to the camera, they break down what it’s been like to ride the rocket of fame so far. “We can say a new persona was created since the moment we debuted,” they say in voice-over.

“I just thought I’d sing and dance to a certain extent and show the person I am. … That’s all I expected,” the voice-over continues before the group contemplates how hard it will be when this is all over. The film is due out in limited screenings beginning Sept. 10, with additional territories — including the U.S. — coming online on Sept. 24.

The Trafalgar Releasing effort is the sequel to 2019’s Bring the Soul: The Movie, which raked in $24.3 million in box office on 2.55 million tickets sold in 112 territories, according to a release announcing the movie. Director Park promises to give fans unprecedented access to the group as they travel the globe on the Love Yourself: Speak Yourself global tour, which took them from Los Angeles to London, Osaka and Riyadh, among many other stops. “Off stage, we see another side of BTS. The seven members begin to candidly tell personal stories they have never voiced before,” a release promises.

BTS achieved the biggest streaming week for a song and the highest career rank on Billboard‘s Streaming Songs chart ever this week with new single “Dynamite.” The song started with 33.9 million U.S. streams in the week ending Aug. 27, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. The sum marks a new best for the group, surpassing the 29.9 million that “Boy with Luv,” featuring Halsey, tallied in its first week (April 27, 2019).
