Katie Holmes is one of America’s Sweethearts, known for her quintessential ‘girl next door’ image.
But the 41-year-old actress shows a very different side of herself in a racy shoot for Vogue Australia, this month.
The Dawson’s Creek star smoulders in a pair of sexy leather thigh-high boots and a revealing fluro green dress.

Katie shot to fame on Dawson’s Creek in the late 90s, and later became Hollywood royalty when she married ex-husband Tom Cruise in 2006.
With a new romance flourishing with younger heartthrob chef Emilio Vitolo, 33, Katie spoke about embracing the power of ‘new beginnings’ for the cover piece.
Her fashion pictures were interspersed with an essay she has written about life in lockdown and her feelings on the state of the world.

However she did not mention her new relationship with Emilio, whom she has been seen out and about with in New York City.
She did let the readers in on her family time with her parents and her 14-year-old daughter Suri whom she shares with her ex-husband Tom Cruise.
Katie was born in Toledo and brought up there with four siblings by her lawyer father Martin and housewife mother Kathleen.
Arm in arm: Katie is currently enjoying a new relationship with heartthrob chef Emilio Vitolo Jr. whom she has been seen out and about with in New York City
‘Seeing my family in Ohio after months of FaceTime calls felt like Christmas morning. My mom’s eyes were brighter, my dad’s hands even stronger and our hugs much tighter,’ the leggy sensation said.
‘Taking time in Washington Square Park with a friend whose little child was taking his first steps brought me back to when my own child began to walk. I felt nostalgic and in awe of the power of time and the continuation of life.’
While in lockdown she took refuge in ‘Hobbies such as sewing, painting and writing became new hallmarks of satisfaction and having had time at home to just be. To listen. To live for a moment in time without the pressure of results and instead appreciate the natural rhythms of mother and daughter was the most precious gift.’
The All We Had director also shared a few books and movies she enjoyed in self-isolation, rattling off a list of highbrow names.
Out and about: Katie is pictured this September enjoying a stroll in New York City with her 14-year-old daughter Suri whom she shares with her ex-husband Tom Cruise
‘During this time, I revisited books that I value, including, Between The World And Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates, Just Kids by Patti Smith and Play It As It Lays by Joan Didion.’
Katie added: ‘I enjoyed the time to escape into films by Ingmar Bergman, Agnes Varda, Jacques Demy and John Cassavetes.’
The Dawson’s Creek alumna revealed: ‘The Umbrellas Of Cherbourg brought such a sense of joy to the lockdown experience and watching the documentary about Jacques Demy and seeing the impact he brought to so many reminded me of the power of storytelling and the value of putting joy into the world.’
After her divorce from celebrity Scientologist Tom, Katie spent years dating Jamie Foxx, whom she split from in 2019.
What matters most: Katie also spoke warmly of enjoying family time in Ohio; she is pictured in 2017 with her daughter Suri, her brother Martin Jr and her parents Kathleen and Martin
Katie and Jamie only went public as a couple in late 2017, though there had been speculation they were an item since 2013.
There was a swirl of rumors that Katie’s divorce agreement prohibited her from publicly dating anyone for five years after her 2012 split with Tom.
The Batman Begins actress initially began dating Tom in 2005, and seven weeks into the relationship, they were engaged.
Their Scientologist wedding was held at the Castello Orsini-Odescalchi in Bracciano in November 2006, seven months after their daughter Suri was born.
Throwback: The All We Had director also shared a few books and movies she enjoyed in self-isolation including The Umbrellas Of Cherbourg starring Catherine Deneuve (pictured)
Katie filed in 2012 for a divorce that was finalized only 10 days later, with Suri’s mother retaining primary custody, though Tom could visit, according to People.
Ron Miscavige, father of Scientology leader David Miscavige, told the MailOnline in 2016 that Katie’s misgivings about Scientology – including the effect it could have on Suri – contributed to her decision to leave Tom.
Tom has not been pictured with Suri in seven years and an Us Weekly source alleged in 2018: ‘Every person is allowed to see their child if they wanted to. He chooses not to because she is not a Scientologist.’
