Katie Holmes praised her ‘talented’ ex-boyfriend Emilio Vitolo Jr. ahead of his new short film Almost A Year premiering at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival.
Emilio, 33, and Katie, 42, split in late April after dating for roughly eight months from September 2020.
However, the pair seem to have remained on good terms, with Katie congratulating her ex on his new film in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

Almost A Year is set in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, following the, ‘overlapping routines of three New Yorkers’ which, ‘change unexpectedly’.
The film also stars Eve Lindley and Mitzi Akaha, with Jamieson Baker writing the script and directing.
It will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on Wednesday
Last month, Emilio took to his Instagram to share a snap of him from the film, penning: ‘Soo honored and proud to be a part of this Film. Cast and crew A1 . Soo much love went into this . Can’t wait for you all to see this,’ he said.
Katie was quick to comment with the celebratory raising hands emoji.

Katie and Emilio were first linked in September after they were spotted making out at his family’s restaurant, Emilio’s Battalo, in New York City.
A source for People revealed in mid-May that they couple, ‘split several weeks ago. There was no drama.’
‘It was amazing while it lasted, but they are at very different places in life. Emilio has no hard feelings. His life is in N.Y.C.,’ the source continued.
‘Katie can’t wait to get back to work and to travel again,’ the source added.
Katie hasn’t been spotted with a new beau since the split, though it’s been reported that Vitolo has been seen on ‘a bunch of dating apps’ since the split.
