From the hospital to the ballroom?
Katey Sagal’s husband, Kurt Sutter, joked that his wife would be auditioning for “Dancing With the Stars” shortly after sustaining injuries from a car accident.
“She’s the only one bringing in money right now… so I’ll be picking her up from the hospital later, taking her to that Dancing With the Stars audition,” the “Sons of Anarchy” creator, 61, captioned a Friday Instagram post, accompanied by a screenshot of a Deadline story about the incident involving his wife.
“#fingerscrossed,” added Sutter — who shares daughter Esme, 14, with Sagal.
TMZ reported that Sagal, 67, was hit by a car while crossing the street in Los Angeles on Thursday.
According to the outlet, a Tesla driver was making a left turn around 11:40 a.m. local time but didn’t spot the actress and ran into her. TMZ also noted that the unidentified driver was sober and stopped to help Sagal.
Sagal was taken to a local hospital where she is currently being treated for non-threatening injuries. A source told TMZ that the Hollywood veteran is “going to be OK” and anticipates to be released Friday.
An insider later confirmed to Page Six that “she will be fine and is going home today.”
Sagal rose to fame as Peggy Bundy on the iconic sitcom “Married … With Children.” Since then, she has appeared on a series of successful TV shows such as “8 Simple Rules,” “Shameless,” “Sons of Anarchy” and, most recently, “The Conners.”
And if it’s up to Sutter, she will be competing for the mirrorball trophy in no time.
