Kanye West has submitted petitions with 1,327 signatures to get on the ballot for New Jersey in his latest bid for the White House, the same day he was in apparent crisis his wife following a disastrous campaign rally in South Carolina on July 19.
The rapper exceeded the requirement of at least 800 signatures and submitted on deadline day in order to appear as an independent candidate in the Garden State, TMZ reported.
Although it was believed West is running under the Birthday Party, the term ‘slogan pending’ appears on his state document alongside the other independent parties that have signed up to challenge President Donald Trump on November 3.
Those parties include the Alliance Party, Constitution Party, Green Party, Libertarian Party, Socialism and Liberation and Unity Party America.

His application for New Jersey followed a political campaign rally and Twitter meltdown last week, where he discussed how he and his wife once considered having an abortion and hinted she had an affair with rapper Meek Mill
However objections to the validity of the signatures can occur before 5pm on Friday July 31.
It comes after in his home state of Illinois, there were several objections over the validity of thousands of signatures.
One objector, Sean Tenner, claimed to find only 1,000 valid signatures among the approximately 3,200 submitted.
A hearing is scheduled next week over the validity.
West, 43, has also submitted documents to get on the ballot in Missouri – where 10,000 signatures are required and it costs more than $30,000 to apply – and in Oklahoma where it cost $35,000.
West will officially be on the presidential ballot in Oklahoma and he has filed the proper paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to make the run.
On the same day of his New Jersey application, West was spotted reunited with wife Kim Kardashian West.

During the rally he broke down in tears as he discussed how they once considered having an abortion and hinted she had an affair with rapper Meek Mill, which West has since publicly apologized for.

West – who sparked a backlash in 2018 by tweeting that he was the modern day equivalent of Harriet Tubman – also claimed at his recent rally that the historic abolitionist who freed seventy slaves and campaigned for women’s suffrage, didn’t help free slaves.
It is the first time that the married couple has been pictured together since before his disastrous first campaign rally in North Charleston, South Carolina, after announcing his unlikely bid for presidency.
‘She is very emotional about everything, and also exhausted,’ a source told People magazine on Monday. ‘She feels very hurt by Kanye. She has tried to reach him multiple times and he just ignores her. It’s all a bad situation.’
The insider added: ‘She decided to fly to Cody to speak with him in person. She doesn’t want to be ignored anymore.’
It was after comedian Dave Chappelle, Music producer Damon Dash, and pop star Justin Bieber were pictured visiting West in Wyoming where he owns a $14million ranch.
Last week, Kim took to Instagram following Kanye’s controversial behavior, admitting that she was ‘powerless’ amid his meltdown, calling her husband ‘brilliant but complicated’.
West has been open about his struggle with bipolar disorder and, in 2016, he spent time in hospital after a ‘psychiatric emergency’ that forced him to cancel 21 concert dates.
The reality star said ‘his words sometimes do not align with his intentions’ after Kanye last night claimed he has been ‘trying to get divorced’ from Kim since she met his fellow rapper Meek Mill at a hotel.
‘I understand Kanye is subject to criticism because he is a public figure and his actions at times can cause strong opinions and emotions,’ she told her 180 million followers.

Charlamagne also blamed Biden for creating an environment where people are considering voting for rapper Kanye West, who launched his presidential campaign earlier this month.
