Bennifer 2.0 started earlier than we thought.
TMZ reports actress/singer Jennifer Lopez reconnected with ex-fiancee Ben Affleck BEFORE she ended her engagement to former New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez.
It’s been building since February … when he started flooding her with emails while she was filming in the Dominican Republic. Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … Ben and J Lo were in very regular contact by email starting in early February when she flew to the Caribbean to begin filming “Shotgun Wedding.” We’re told the tone of the emails wasn’t just friendly … but more loving and longing for Jen. … We’re told they continued emailing each other, back and forth, for the duration of J Lo’s shoot … which wrapped in late April.
TMZ also reports “there was no physical contact or rendezvous between them during this time, but the emails do add context to how they seemingly got together so quickly.”

Just to set the record straight, Rodriguez and Lopez were seen together at Super Bowl LV in Tampa, Fla., which was played on February 7.
In March, the New York Post reported Rodriguez and Lopez had ended their engagement, which dated back to 2019.
Then last month, Rodriguez and Lopez announced their relationship was over in a statement to the “Today” show.
We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.
Two weeks after the official announcement, Lopez was spotted in Los Angeles with the 48-year-old Affleck, with whom she was engaged from 2002 to 2004. At the time, the New York Post’s Page Six reported the reunion was “just friendly.”
But according to E! News, the chemistry between the 51-year-old Lopez and Affleck “is unreal. They picked up where they last left off and are enjoying each other’s company right now.”
E! News also reports Lopez and Affleck were seen together earlier this month.
After the stars appeared separately at the VAX LIVE concert in Los Angeles on Sunday, May 2, they jetted off together to the Yellowstone Club in Montana, where they vacationed together for about a week, a source tells E! News. “They were alone,” says the source. “Just the two of them.”
TMZ has details of the getaway:
Ben and Jen were at the Big Sky Resort in Montana, super close to Yellowstone National Park. They were staying at the same resort and were driving around together … They also flew out of Montana together Sunday from Bozeman, Montana to L.A. When they arrived in L.A. at the Signature Terminal at LAX, they took an SUV together and drove to her house in Bel-Air. … A source in Montana who spotted them tell TMZ they seemed very much like a couple.
