The 14-day average fell from 4.3% to 4.1% and the 7-day rate dropped from 4.5% to 4.2%. State data shows 4,088,220 COVID-19 tests have been administered in Iowa.COVID-19 hospitalizations in Iowa have declined again after a small spike the previous day. There are 191 patients hospitalized with the virus, down from 209. There are 40 patients in ICU and 11 patients on ventilators. Virus outbreaks in long-term care facilities are at the lowest levels in months. There are currently 12 facilities reporting outbreaks, down from 14 the previous day. The state reports 178 positive cases and 89 recoveries among residents and staff within those facilities.
