Iowa has surpassed 400,000 positive COVID-19 tests since the start of the pandemic.The Iowa Department of Public Health reported 321 new positive tests and seven additional deaths Wednesday. At 10 a.m., IDPH reported 400,088 total positive tests, 356,114 total recoveries and 6,013 total deaths since the pandemic began. Twenty-four hours earlier, IDPH reported 399,767 total positive tests and 6,013 total deaths.State data shows 1,275,754 people have completed a vaccine series in Iowa, with 2,624,027 total doses administered. There have been 4,974,617 COVID-19 tests administered in Iowa.Virus hospitalizations were up slightly from 142 to 145. There are 44 patients in ICU and 22 patients on ventilators.Two long-term care facilities report 17 positive cases and one recovery among residents and staff within those facilities.
