The Iowa Department of Public Health Thursday reported 695 new positive COVID-19 tests and one additional death.At 10 a.m., the health department reported 384,032 total positive virus tests, 336,666 total recoveries and 5,836 total deaths since the pandemic began. Twenty-four hours earlier, the health department reported 383,337 total positive tests and 5,835 total deaths.State data shows s1,707,446 doses have been administered in Iowa, with 692,021 individuals completing the series. Iowa reports a total of 4,546,563 tests administered.The number of Iowans hospitalized with the virus increased from 216 to 219. There are 43 patients in ICU and 20 patients on ventilators.Two long-term care facilities report virus outbreaks in Iowa. The state reports 20 positive cases among residents and staff within those facilities.
