As of 10 a.m., the health department reported 280,303 total cases, 238,977 total recoveries and 3,891 total deaths since the start of the pandemic. The health department reported 278,600 total cases and 3,822 total deaths 24 hours earlier. Of the state’s 3,891 deaths, 3,571 list COVID-19 as the underlying cause, while 320 list it as a contributing factor.Iowa data shows 1,355,006 Iowans have been tested for COVID-19. The state’s 7-day and 14-day positivity rates increased slightly in the last 24 hours. Iowa reports a 14-day positivity rate of 12.2% and a 7-day positivity rate of 10.7% There are now 33 counties with a 14-day positivity rate at 15% or greater.
