KCCI provides a daily snapshot of the past 24 hours of statistics.As of 10 a.m. Sunday, the Iowa DPH website reports 319,203 confirmed cases statewide since Iowa’s outbreak began, with an additional 757 cases confirmed in the past 24 hours. The Iowa DPH reported 250 additional COVID-19 death, raising the statewide death toll to 4,901.Of Iowa’s pandemic-related deaths, COVID-19 is reported as the underlying cause for 4,442 deaths. For 459 Iowans, COVID-19 was a contributing factor to their deaths.The website said 4,522 of the state’s deaths involved Iowans with preexisting conditions.According to the Iowa DPH vaccination dashboard, 236,608 Iowans have received doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. The dashboard reports that 132,466 individuals received their first of the vaccine, while 58,183 have completed vaccination.Additional vaccination data can be found here.The Iowa DPH reports 55 COVID-19 outbreaks among long-term care facilities in the state, accounting for 1,629 of Iowa’s current positive cases. COVID-19 outbreaks at long-term care facilities account for 2,007 of the state’s total deaths. Iowa DPH reports 358 hospitalizations, of which 94 patients are in intensive care units. Iowa hospitals admitted 55 patients in the last 24 hours, compared to 48 hospitalizations the day before. Of Iowa’s 99 counties, 7 report 14-day positivity rates at or above 15%. According to the state’s website, a total of 1,472,772 Iowans received COVID-19 tests. Iowa’s average reported positivity rate is 7.6% over the last 14 days.Of the state’s confirmed cases, 282,477 Iowans recovered.
