KCCI provides a daily snapshot of the past 24 hours of statistics.As of 10 a.m. Sunday, the Iowa DPH website reports 385,739 positive COVID-19 tests statewide since Iowa’s outbreak began, with an additional 469 positive tests confirmed in the past 24 hours. The Iowa DPH reported eight additional COVID-19 deaths, increasing the statewide death toll to 5,857.Of Iowa’s pandemic-related deaths, COVID-19 is reported as the underlying cause for 5,208 deaths. For 649 Iowans, COVID-19 was a contributing factor to their deaths.The website said 5,408 of the state’s deaths involved Iowans with preexisting conditions.According to the Iowa DPH vaccination dashboard, 1,844,993 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Iowa.The dashboard reports that 690,930 individuals completed two-dose vaccinations and 71,240 individuals have completed single-dose vaccinations.The Iowa DPH reports 762,170 total completed vaccine series.According to the state’s website, a total of 4,582,102 individuals received COVID-19 tests.
