The Iowa Department of Public Health said Tuesday that a hardware malfunction at the Mid Atlantic Data Center, which houses data for the Iowa Immunization Registry Information System, is impacting accessibility for Iowa and multiple other states.The health department said the malfunction is impacting vaccine dashboard updates, and vaccine providers are currently unable to enter vaccine administration data.The health department said data entry will be delayed until access is restored.The IRIS vendor is working diligently with the data center to ensure access is restored as soon as possible. Restoration of the application is anticipated within 24 hours,” the health department said through a news release. “The Iowa Department of Public Health is implementing contingency plans to avoid prolonged disruption to Iowa’s vaccine providers.
