Hair loss treatment: The best breakfast to encourage hair growth – Express

Nutrition deficiencies can lead to hair loss, so it’s important to be eating the right foods. Start your day in the best way, and add these ingredients to a hearty breakfast.

Eggs

The first ingredient you need to add to your breakfast plate is eggs, which are a great source of biotin.

Researchers from the University of Louisville School of Medicine analysed clinical trials on the connection between biotin and hair growth.

Reviewing 18 trials, they noted how poor hair growth was linked to a biotin deficiency.

Thereafter, humans “do not generate new hair follicles” for the rest of their lives.

It’s noted how “sebum conditions the hair” – promoting strong, healthy hair – and guess what helps the skin glands produce sebum? The answer is vitamin A.

This was confirmed by researchers based at the Department of Human Nutrition, at Ohio State University.

“Vitamin A is critically important in the development and maintenance of hair and sebaceous glands,” testified the researchers.

Now you have eggs and spinach on your plate, it’s time for the final ingredient.

Avocados are a good source of healthy fats and are also an excellent source of vitamin E.

The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, in Malaysia, stated vitamin E is known to be a “potent antioxidant”.

Studying those exhibiting hair loss, they discovered they had “low levels of antioxidants”.

Thus, an experiment was conducted to observe the effects of vitamin E supplementation on hair growth.

A total of 38 random volunteers were assigned to take part in the study, all of whom suffered from hair loss.

And 21 of those received 100mg of vitamin E supplementation daily while 17 received a placebo for eight months.

By the end of the experiment, the group supplemented with vitamin E had an increased hair growth of 34.5 percent, whereas the placebo group had a hair decrease of 0.1 percent.

Thus, for a hair-boosting hearty breakfast have eggs, spinach and avocado.
