Frankie then referred to the suicidal end of Ridley Scott’s 1991 film starring Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon: ‘Unless we do a Thelma and Louise thing, which I’m open to.’

‘When Covid’s over! I’ve been trying to do Grace and Frankie for years. We worked so well together on 9 to 5,’ the 76-year-old national treasure told Lorraine last year.

‘It’s a crazy, wonderful show and we’ve been trying to write me in somehow. So when it’s safe to actually do a production, I’ll probably get around to doing that.’

It’s been 42 years since the talented trio got revenge against their sexist boss (Dabney Coleman) in Colin Higgins’ critically-acclaimed office comedy, which amassed $103.3M at the global box office.
