Erykah Badu is making sure to remain in the Obamas’ good graces by apologizing for being a “terrible guest” at No. 44’s 60th birthday party.
The 50-year-old neo-soul artist was one of several all-star guests at the former president’s private Hawaiian-themed birthday bash at Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, which reportedly prohibited photography and videography. However, the “Bag Lady” singer broke the rules when she posted (and later deleted) a video on her Instagram Story of the birthday boy dancing with H.E.R. before giving her a hug. On Thursday, she issued a public apology.
“Mr. And Mrs. Obama , Please forgive me 4 being the ‘terrible guest ‘ at such a sacred event for your family,” she wrote on Twitter. “I was so inconsiderate, Thank you for all your love. What an example of ‘how NOT ‘ to be …… erica.”
