Earlier this year Elliot Page spoke to Oprah Winfrey about the joys of “being able to touch my chest and feel comfortable in my body probably for the first time” since undergoing top surgery. Now the Juno star is sharing that experience with his fans.
On Sunday, the 34-year-old Page — who came out as transgender last December — posted a shirtless selfie that reveals his toned chest, quipping in the caption, “Oh good my new phone works.”
It works — and it’s apparently buzzing with new notifications as appreciative comments roll in.
“Swoon,” responded Rumer Willis, while actor Tommy Dorfman, who reintroduced herself as a trans woman this year, wrote, “Brooooo.”
“Thirst trap mode activated,” read one comment as many called the Umbrella Academy actor “handsome.”
“You are ripped to shreds, dude,” added another commenter.
Speaking to Winfrey this spring for her Apple TV+ series, Page called his surgery both “life-changing” and “life-saving.” The Oscar-nominated star added that appreciating his body has been his biggest joy.
“It’s, you know, getting out of the shower and the towel is around your waist, and you’re looking at yourself in the mirror and you’re just like ‘There I am,'” he shared.
“And I’m not having the moment where I’m panicked… It’s being able to touch my chest and feel comfortable in my body probably for the first time.”
