Medical Center of Elberton can resume vaccinations in March, state health officials say
The Georgia Department of Public Health has shortened the suspension on COVID-19 vaccine supply placed on the Medical Center of Elberton, according to Brooke McDowell, with Medical Center of Elberton.The suspension was shortened from July 27 to March 14, McDowell said.According to McDowell, this comes after a back-and-forth between the medical center and the Georgia health officials through an appeals process, where the medical center pleaded its case in an attempt to shorten the suspension. The medical center was originally suspended on Jan. 27 for vaccinating approximately 160 employees in the Elbert County School District, stepping outside of Gov.
