Prince Harry has once again stepped in it.
Just three months after lecturing the world on climate change, the double-talking dilettante opted to take a private jet home from his charity polo event in Aspen last week, rather than fly with the hoi polloi on the two-hour flight home to his mansion in Montecito, California.
Harry, who told Oprah Winfrey: “Kids growing up in today’s world, pretty depressing, right, depending on where you live, your home country is either on fire, it’s either underwater, houses or forests are being flattened” thought nothing of hopping on board his pal Marc Ganzi’s $60 million Gulfstream jet to go home to wife Meghan Markle and two children.
“This appears to be enormously hypocritical, given all his talk about climate change,” royal author Tom Quin told The Sun.
“Harry seems to see himself as someone who guides the rest of the world and that his own behavior isn’t relevant. It is a huge blind spot.”
The Daily Mail estimated the two-hour flight “could have emitted as much as 10 tons of CO2” into the atmosphere.
The Prince seems to be taken with not practicing what he preaches and in the past has taken four private jet flights in 11 days, including to a climate change summit in Sicily and six private jet flights in 2019.
