More than 1 million Mass. residents have received first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, DPH says

More than 1 million Massachusetts residents have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.In its daily vaccine data report, the DPH said Saturday that 1,000,734 people in the Bay State have received at least one dose of the vaccine. The data is gathered from the Massachusetts Immunization Information System at midnight the night before.According to the DPH, there are 372,172 people in Massachusetts who have received both doses of the vaccine, bringing the grand total of doses administered to 1,372,906.As of Saturday, a total of 1,683,820 vaccine doses have been shipped to Massachusetts.
