Twisted Sister singer Dee Snider slammed a group of anti-maskers who paraded around a Target in Florida while blasting the band’s hit song, “We’re Not Gonna Take It.”
“No…these selfish a—holes do not have my permission or blessing to use my song for their moronic cause. #cuttheshit,” the frontman tweeted on Wednesday.
A day earlier, the group’s wild, caught-on-camera shenanigans at a store located in Ft. Lauderdale were widely reported after the footage went viral on social media.
In one of the videos posted to YouTube, the group is seen marching around the store to Twister Sister’s hit song in defiance of the store’s mask requirement.
“In celebration of Burn Your Mask Day we decided to spread some freedom dust over the shoppers and employees of Target!” user Chris Nelson wrote in the description of “Maskless Flash Mob at Target!”
In the clip, one of the participants implores other shoppers to “Take off that mask.”
“That’s the only way it’s going to work — if we all unite,” the woman said. “It’s all about choice.”
Another one of the members chimed in, “Can’t you breathe better without it on?”
