COVID-19 Statistics | Nov. 25, 2020 – Lost Coast Outpost

Press release from the Humboldt County Joint Information Center:

Eighteen additional cases of COVID-19 were reported today, bringing to 819 the total number of county residents who have tested positive for the virus.

Today, Humboldt County’s local case rate stands at 8.6 per 100,000 residents, well over the 7.0 required for movement into the “Purple” tier. Public Health calculates the local case rate based on the most current case information, which accounts for the difference between the state-posted rate and the county’s on any given day.

In related news, the OptumServe site located at Redwood Acres in Eureka will soon expand no-cost COVID-19 testing to include Saturday and Sunday, in addition to the current weekday schedule. Beginning Monday, Nov. 30, testing will be available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day of the week. Appointments for these new time slots are available now. To schedule an appointment through OptumServe:

Redwood Acres Fairgrounds is located at 3750 Harris St. in Eureka. Parking is available in the lot across the street from the fairgrounds.

OptumServe is contracted by the State of California to provide testing services to rural and underserved areas of the state.
