Colin Jost has confirmed Page Six’s story that his wife, Scarlett Johansson, is expecting their first child — and said he can’t wait to become a dad.
While performing at a stand-up gig at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Connecticut over the weekend, Jost said, “We’re having a baby, it’s exciting,” according to a source in the audience.
Page Six exclusively revealed back in July that Johansson is pregnant and due soon.
Johansson, 36, already has a 6-year-old daughter named Rose from a previous marriage to Frenchman Romain Dauriac.
She quietly wed “Saturday Night Live” funnyman Jost, 39, in October 2020 after three years of dating.
The “Avengers” star first sparked pregnancy rumors in June after skipping out on several “Black Widow” events.
“She hasn’t been doing many interviews or events to promote ‘Black Widow,’ which is surprising since it is a huge Marvel/Disney release and she is both the star and an executive producer,” our source explained at the time.
Instead, the Oscar-nominated actress carried out promotional appearances via Zoom, appearing virtually on “The Tonight Show” to chat with Jimmy Fallon on June 21 — conspicuously only shot from the shoulders up, and later doing the same thing on Seth Meyers’ show.
Johansson is currently suing Disney, alleging that her contract was breached when “Black Widow” was released on Disney+.
But she’s already plotting her big-screen return after her baby’s arrival. The Hollywood Reporter announced this week she signed on for Wes Anderson’s latest movie, which stars Margot Robbie and Tom Hanks — as well as Anderson’s usual pals, Adrien Brody, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman and Tilda Swinton.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, and Johansson’s character details have not yet been revealed.
A rep for Jost was unavailable for comment.
