‘It’s a doozy. I kept telling myself it would all be better by the summer. it would all be better by ocean city. I thought if we could just make it to ocean city we would be OK. And it was true. We made it here and we are OK,’ she captioned a selfie, which showed the ocean behind her.
In December, Perri described her pregnancy loss as ‘the worst experience’ of her life in a lengthy Instagram post.
At the time, she told the world that while it’s been a struggle, she was grateful by the amount of love and support she’s received.
Coping: Christina Perri gave fans an update as she continues to grieve the loss of a daughter in the third trimester of pregnancy, calling it the ‘worst experience’ of her life. The photo of her daughter Carmella and dog was paired with a long caption
Sharing a photo of her older daughter Carmella, three, laying down with their pug puppy Chocolate Chip, Perri said: ‘Hi friends. I couldn’t think of one thing that felt appropriate to post after my last post.’
The musician said after her miscarriage ‘the days have been long and yet also feel like they all blend into one.’
‘We’re not ok, but we believe in a day we will be. me, [husband Paul Costabile,] and carmella all wrap each other up in love and in sadness everyday. we’re learning to navigate our grief together.’
She went on: ‘Some days we can’t swim, some days we float fine. every day we burst into tears and every day we find moments to laugh. it’s been all the feelings, all the emotions, all the questions, all the anger, all the sadness; all day long. some moments of surrender and hope slip in there, but not often.’
While Christina said she knew these waves of emotion were a ‘normal’ part of grieving, she still found it ‘overwhelming.’
Overwhelmed: ‘The calls, texts, messages, emails, letters, flowers, packages, gifts, food, prayers, cards, stories and visits have been the greatest outpouring of love in my lifetime,’ she told fans, friends, and family
Christina gave a big thanks to ‘everyone we know and everyone we don’t know who has held us up and everyone who has carried us through so far.’
She also thanked those who had shared their own experiences with pregnancy loss.
Then, Perri explained she’d be keeping offline so she and her family could ‘continue to heal.’
But she gave fans something to look forward to, telling them ‘the next time you hear from me my album will be ready!’
‘Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time,’ she went on. ‘I hope the holidays bring you joy and i hope after a year that brought us so many storms, we find only rainbows in the new one.’

The star revealed her baby girl tragically died after being ‘born silent’ in the third trimester in November.
Christina – who was understood to be around 32 weeks pregnant – wrote: ‘Last night we lost our baby girl. She was born silent after fighting so hard to make it to our world. she is at peace now and will live forever in our hearts.’
Her husband, 33, shared the same photo on social media and wrote: ‘It’s been a rough couple weeks and we’re so grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers from you all.’
In early November Christina announced that her unborn baby would have to undergo an immediate operation after she was born amid issues with her intestines – a condition known as Jejunal atresia.
Jejunal atresia is when the intestine fails to develop properly and the membrane connecting the small intestines to the abdominal wall is not completely developed or is completely absent.
