RUMOR: Minnie Van Service Retired at Walt Disney World, Cast Members and Vehicle Leases Being Terminated – wdwnt.com

It has been a tumultuous existence for the Minnie Van service at Walt Disney World, a point-to-point transportation option owned and operated by Disney that launched back in 2017. A pet-project of now-CEO Bob Chapek, Minnie Vans were Disney’s response to many of their guests choosing not to use the provided, complimentary (and honestly, often unreliable) transportation options Disney provides their guests and instead booking a Uber, Lyft, or similar transportation method to get around The Vacation Kingdom of the World. Minnie Vans were deemed overpriced by most guests, and they were also hard to get when you actually wanted them, like around park opening and closing times. After 3 years of hemorrhaging money, cast members believe the service is being brought to an end. One of the many Mi...

Hamilton on Disney Plus: 6 surprising things to watch for – CNET

History has its eyes on Lin-Manuel Miranda and Phillipa Soo as Alexander and Eliza Hamilton in the filmed version of the hit musical Hamilton. Disney I dragged my family into my Hamilton obsession a few years ago -- my preteen daughter pretty much went straight from memorizing the Frozen soundtrack and wearing Elsa capes to rapping out the 10 Duel Commandments and playing Peggy Schuyler at theater camp. On a scrimped-for trip to London, I swallowed hard, tried no...

Dave Grohl Reflects on Nirvana Days & Foo Fighters Debut Album on Its 25th Anniversary – Billboard

Dave Grohl joined Matt Wilkinson on Apple Music for a conversation about the time period from his early days in Nirvana through the release of the first Foo Fighters album. The interview airs on Saturday (July 4), exactly 25 years after the Foo Fighters' debut, self-titled album arrived (on July 4, 1995). Grohl admitted that when he joined Nirvana and they became "really huge really quickly," he was still insecure that he wasn't quite good enough for the band. "Well I mean I joined Nirvana, I was their fifth drummer, right?" he said. "They'd had a team of drummers before me and some of them were more, I don't know, more in the band than others. So when I joined the band, I didn't know Krist and Kurt at all. And when we first met and started playing, it was clear that when we go...

Mountain lion seen roaming San Francisco killed on Highway 1 – KRON4

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A young mountain lion that was captured last month after roaming the streets of San Francisco and then released into a wilderness preserve was found dead Friday on the shoulder of a highway in Northern California, authorities said. The mountain lion was found on the shoulder of Highway 1 near Pacifica, said Mark Andrews, a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol. The vehicle that apparently hit the animal did not stop. The Department of Fish and Wildlife confirmed it was the same cougar spotted last month wandering around San Francisco for a couple days before being captured near Oracle Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. Widely shared photo and video images showed the cougar crossing city streets and looking at his reflection in the g...
