Britney Spears slams her ex Justin Timberlake and mom for profiting off her during hardest times – Daily Mail

Britney Spears slammed her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake, mother Lynne and sister Jamie Lynn in a scathing new Instagram post on Monday night.

In a since-deleted caption on a video of herself dancing to Dusty Springfield’s Son Of A Preacher Man in a new polka-dot dress, the 40-year-old pop star told her followers she received a ‘calling last night from Jesus’ about those she feels have betrayed her the past two decades.

She went on to claim Jesus told her: ‘Dear child … your mom had a serving with her book at the exact time when you needed her most …all for WHAT ??? FAME and ATTENTION!!!!’

The Toxic hitmaker was referring to her mother’s 2008 memoir Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World, published a year after Britney’s public breakdown following her split from ex Kevin Federline.

Next, she unleashed her fury on an unnamed ex as she alluded to Justin’s actions back in 2002 when he released his first album Justified and diss track, Cry Me A River.

‘Your ex did the same thing … he served with his first album using your name claiming you did him dirty!!!!’ she wrote.

Justin and Britney dated from 1999 until 2002 after meeting at The Mickey Mouse Club and were an iconic star duo.

They split abruptly and rumors soon emerged that she’d cheated on him.

His career soared. Albums and songs were promoted under the narrative that Spears broke his heart. In the music video for his 2002 hit Cry Me A River, he even used a Britney lookalike. Britney was vilified for their break-up.

Britney also reflected on feeling betrayed by her younger sibling, who she said released a book, that mentions her more than 300 times in it, during ‘one of the hardest times in your life.’

‘Then your blood, one of the hardest times in your life guess what your sister does… a book too… all for what???’

While trying to understand why her sister would release a memoir, the mom-of-two stated that Jamie Lynn knew writing a book was ‘the last thing’ she ever wanted to do because she runs ‘away from drama.’

The Grammy winner, who reportedly landed a $15 million advance to write her own tell-all for Simon & Schuster last month, noted she doesn’t want to tell her side of the story but would accept ‘5 bottles of jack and a life supply of McDonald’s french fries.’

‘Knowing doing a book is the last thing you would ever do … well because you ran away from drama and created a dream world for yourself,’ Britney wrote. ‘That’s why artists play characters to escape !!!’

So since I know you don’t want to tell your story as Jesus your Lord and Savior… I’m gonna give you 5 bottles of jack and a life supply of McDonald’s french frieds … now go play dear child!!!! ‘

Within 20 minutes of posting, she changed the caption to just three red rose emojis.

In February Justin issued a public apology to Britney 19 years after publicly blaming her for their break up and using his ‘heartbreak’ to promote his music.

He also apologized to Janet Jackson for tearing off her costume at the 2004 Super Bowl to expose her breast, in what they said was an accident at the time but for which she was crucified.

In the long Instagram post, Timberlake said: ‘I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed.’

Timberlake’s apology comes after he was tagged in social media posts about Spears and the campaign to release her from a conservatorship held by her father.

It has been highlighted recently in a documentary, Framing Britney Spears, which lays bare how Spears has, according to her fans, been exploited by the men in her life.

In his post, Timberlake said he’d seen the ‘tags’ and mentions about the Framing Britney Spears documentary and his alleged complicity in her downfall.

‘I’ve seen the messages, tags, comments and concerns and I want to respond. I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out o f turn or did not speak up for what was right.

‘I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited a system that condones misogyny and racism,’ he said.

He went on: ‘I also feel compelled to respond, in part, because everyone involved deserves better and most importantly, because this is a larger conversation that I wholeheartedly want to be a part of and grow from…

‘The industry is flawed. It sets men, especially white men, up for success. It’s designed this way.

‘As a man in a privileged position I have to be vocal about this.

‘Because of my ignorance, I didn’t recognize it for all that it was while it was happening in my own life but I do not want to ever benefit from others being pulled down again.

‘I have not been perfect in navigating all of this throughout my career . I know this apology is a first step and doesn’t absolve the past.

‘I want to take accountability for my own missteps in all of this as well as be part of a world that uplifts and supports.

‘I care deeply about the well-being of the people I love and have loved. I can do better and I will do better.’
