Britney Spears has posted yet another blistering attack on Jamie Lynn Spears, calling her a ‘selfish brat,’ despite sending a cease-and-desist letter ordering her younger sister to stay silent.
The Toxic singer’s attorney Mathew S. Rosengart yesterday claimed that his client would ‘go high for the time being’ and refrain from making any further remarks in their ugly feud, but Britney has now doubled down on her family grievances.
After initially deleting her Tuesday post – whereby Britney, 40, said she should have ‘slapped’ her sister Jamie Lynn, 30, and mother Lynne Spears – she has now re-posted an even longer version with new details on Wednesday.
In her extended post, Britney calls Jamie Lynn a ‘selfish brat’ who once refused to play with her after she had split up with ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.
Toxic: Britney Spears has posted yet another blistering attack on Jamie Lynn Spears, calling her a ‘selfish brat,’ despite sending a cease-and-desist letter ordering her younger sister to stop talking about her
At the time, Britney was around 21, while younger sister Jamie Lynn would have been 11-years-old.
‘You selfish little brat !!!’ Britney fumes in her notes. ‘Saying how weird and dumb it was that I bought a house for Mamma !!!! She was so proud and you told that interview girl that it was just weird … LIKE I GUESS I WILL JUST WALK IN THESE HALLS … Why did you say that ???’
She also continues to deny Jamie Lynn’s accusation that she once ‘grabbed a knife’ and locked them in a room together, which was shared in a recent interview on ABC’s Nightline.
Britney writes: ‘And the topic about the knife which is ironically the only lie you’ve ever told in your whole life … Why is that conversation 20 min ??? and the most degrading to me … OH BUT you don’t want to keep talking about it because you don’t want to HURT ANYBODY’S feelings … yet you let it linger forever saying you felt unsafe with me and WEIRD … f**k you Jamie Lynn !!!!’
Longer version of events: Britney Spears goes on ANOTHER foul-mouthed rant against sister Jamie Lynn on Wednesday… despite issuing her with a cease-and-desist letter the day before
The pop singer paints a picture of their fractured relationship in her lengthy post, hinting that she was jealous that Jamie Lynn had an easier childhood.
Despite their ten-year age-gap, Britney claims her sister at the time did not want to ‘play’ with her anymore, and says Jamie Lynn dyed her hair like her pop rival Christina Aguilera.
‘When I came home you and your little friends all thought I wasn’t cool … You felt bad for me in the breakup … HELL NO you didn’t !!! You and your friends all dyed your hair like Christina Aguilera and you no longer would play with me anymore !!!’
Last November, Britney called out Christina Aguilera for ‘refusing to speak’ about her conservatorship when asked about the topic on a red carpet.
Yesterday, Britney’s legal team ordered Jamie Lynn to stop discussing the pop star’s life and struggles when she’s giving interviews to promote her new memoir.
Jamie Lynn is currently on a promotional tour for her new book ‘Things I Should Have Said’, which Britney’s legal counsel said contains ‘misleading and outrageous claims’ about her.

Lawyer Mathew Rosengart wrote a stinging letter to Jamie Lynn, demanding that she ‘cease and desist from referencing Britney derogatorily’ and threatening ‘all appropriate legal action’ should the actress not comply.
‘We write with some hesitation because the last thing Britney wants is to bring more attention to your ill-timed book and its misleading or outrageous claims about her,’ the letter, obtained exclusively by Page Six, read.
‘Although Britney has not read and does not intend to read your book, she and millions of her fans were shocked to see how you have exploited her for monetary gain. She will not tolerate it, nor should she.’
The letter comes as Britney hit out against Jamie Lynn and her mother Lynne in a fiery Instagram post in which she said she should have slapped them both ‘across their f***ing faces’.

After years under a conservatorship overseen by her father, Jamie Spears, Rosengart stressed Britney will not be ‘bullied’ by anyone any more.
The letter continued: ‘You of all people know the abuse and wrongdoing Britney had to endure during the conservatorship, after initially growing up with a ‘ruinous,’ alcoholic father.
‘In fact, your own book reportedly states that your father ‘spent most of my life in that cycle of ruinous behaviour. His bouts of drinking caused me periods of torment and sorrow.’
‘As I have previously stated, having endured a 13-year conservatorship that stripped her of civil rights and fundamental liberties, Britney will no longer be bullied by her father or anyone else.’
Jamie Lynn was accused of ‘airing false or fantastical grievances’ to garner publicity for her book and warned her sister will take further legal action if she continues to speak about her and their feud.
The letter, which was first obtained by Page Six, concluded: ‘Britney was the family’s breadwinner and she also otherwise supported you. Publicly airing false or fantastical grievances is wrong, especially when designed to sell books. It is also potentially unlawful and defamatory.
‘Michelle Obama famously said, ‘When they go low, we go high.’ And to Britney’s great credit, that is exactly what Britney is going to do, for the time being.
Stolen glory: She seemed to intimate that her successful music career and reputation was the reason her sister was added to the main cast of Nickelodeon’s All That in 2002
‘You recently reportedly stated that the book was ‘not about her.’ She takes you at your word and we, therefore, demand that you cease and desist from referencing Britney derogatorily during your promotional campaign.
‘If you fail to do so or defame her, Britney will be forced to consider and take all appropriate legal action.’
News of the letter comes as Britney continues to hit out at her sister and mother in a wild Instagram post in which she said she should have ‘slapped’ her family members ‘across your f***ing faces.’
In her extended post, Britney implies Jamie Lynn had gotten a cushier upbringing and a starring role on TV when she was just a child.
She also lambasted her mother Lynne Spears for not being supportive to her in the wake of her breakup with Justin Timberlake.
Sources close to Jamie Lynn told TMZ that she was ‘disturbed’ and ‘upset’ by the Instagram video, and claimed Jamie Lynn believes Britney has ‘immense jealousy’ over her childhood.
Jamie Lynn is said to receive death threats ‘every time Britney posts’ according to the source, and has asked her to stop with no avail.

Britney’s last post featured a stock photo of sweet holiday drinks, which seemed to be a dig at her sister, who she wrote was enjoying similar beverages.
She recounted seeing her sister lounging at home after she returned from her split with Timberlake in 2002 enjoying a seemingly easy life, while alleging her mother was unable to support her as she was high on medication.
The singer added that she was ‘in shock because this was never my life,’ adding that Timberlake’s ‘family was all I knew for many years.’
‘I flew home to Jamie Lynn on the couch watching her tv shows right after Justin and I broke up… I was a ghost there!!!!!’ she wrote. ‘I had worked my whole life and I didn’t know how to be served by Mamma … Sit there and get served the chocolate milkshakes with the perfectly crushed ice with the secret chunky sugar meanwhile Jamie Lynn is 12, she indulges with the TV for hours then goes to lay out on a raft at the pool.
‘My Mamma was on pain medication and could barely hold a conversation in the house because her and my dad split and she was more messed up than anything !!!!’ she alleged. ‘I remember her sitting on the floor in a conversation and she never got up…’
