Jethro Lazenby, Son Of Singer Nick Cave, Dead At 31 – HuffPost

CANBERRA, Australia (AP) — Australian singer-songwriter Nick Cave has confirmed the death of his son Jethro Lazenby at age 31. “With much sadness, I can confirm that my son, Jethro, has passed away,” the frontman of rock band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds said in a statement Tuesday. “We would be grateful for family privacy at this time,” Cave added. A fashion model, rapper, actor and photographer, Lazenby was Cave’s son with model Beau Lazenby and was born in Melbourne in 1991. He was the eldest of Cave’s four children, all boys. One of Cave’s twin sons with his current wife, Susie Cave, died in an accidental fall from a cliff near Brighton, England, in 2015. Westworlds First Season 4 Trailer Promises More Violent Delights to Come – Gizmodo

Screenshot: YouTube Remember when Westworld season three ended and most fans of the series (including io9) kind of shrugged a big “huh” and moved on to the rest of the hellscape that was 2020? The series hopes to make up for underwhelming you with its fourth season—arriving next month, with a first trailer here today. Set to the melancholy strains of Lou Reed’s “Perfect Day,” it starts on that Western landscape we knew so well during seasons one and two—though, yes, that sleek, ultra-modern cityscape from season three also gets its due. And if the hints in this trailer are to be believed, might that city be a new Delos Destination in the making? That trailer doesn’t give us much in the way of plot. But it does give us a crash course in who’ll be returning for more: Thandiwe Newton...

Chicago-Area Officials Say U.S. Could be Seeing Fifth Wave of COVID as Cases Increase – NBC Chicago

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise around the United States, some experts are saying that the country could be entering a fifth wave of the virus as summer approaches. In the last week alone, COVID cases in the state of Illinois have gone up by more than 40%, while hospitalizations have also begun a slow increase, according to data from the Illinois Department of Public Health. “If you look at our rates, (and) if you look, for example, at the CDC maps, we are right up there with the east coast,” Dr. Sharon Welbel of Cook County Health says. The East Coast has been seeing rapid increases in COVID cases in recent weeks, largely fueled by a new subvariant of omicron. Numerous counties are now considered to be at a “high community level” of the virus, with officials...

Long Covid is continuing to increase, experts say. Heres how to know if you have it — and what to do about it – CNBC

Over the last two years, new Covid cases and deaths have risen and fallen alongside surges of variants and subvariants. One constant, experts say: a continual increase in long Covid cases. The term "long Covid" refers to the wide range of new, ongoing or returning health conditions that can affect people weeks or months after they've recovered from a Covid infection. Common symptoms include fatigue, difficulty breathing, heart palpitations, brain fog, lightheadedness, stomach pain and altered sense of taste or smell, the Centers for Disease Control says. "There's definitely no slowing down in the demand and the need for long Covid care. It's continuing to increase," says Dr. Jason Maley, director of Boston-based Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center's long Covid clinic, which i...

Bucatini all’Amatriciana Recipe

A Classic Roman Dish - Bucatini all'Amatriciana Like many of you, Meg and I watched the Stanley Tucci special on CNN called Searching for Italy. In the Rome episode, he has lunch at Armando Al Pantheon to enjoy their famous rigatoni all'amatriciana, one of Rome's famous pastas. I made it a little different and call it bucatini all'Amatriciana. Of course I had to run out and buy the ingredients so we could make it at home. Not a lot of ingredients and very simple to prepare and absolutely delicious. Let's look at some of the ingredients. Bucatini Bucatini is a pasta that looks a lot like spaghetti but it is thicker and has a whole running down through the strand. My kids like to say it looks like a straw made out of pasta.  If you lived in Naples, Italy, you would call...

Life-altering pop superstard...

As COVID-19 cases rise in New Hampshire, health officials say testing key to controlling spread – WMUR Manchester

COVID-19 cases are on the rise in New Hampshire, but some residents say they're still confused by guidelines for testing.New Hampshire is averaging more than 500 reported new cases each day, the most since Valentine's Day. But the number of hospital patients with COVID-19 is lower than it was at the end of last week. Still, many health care facilities say workers are experiencing burnout, partly because of staff shortages."There are a number of folks who have really been working throughout the pandemic and really giving it their all and working through multiple waves of COVID. So, putting in long hours, being at the bedside or regardless of role, I think the burnout can be impacting any position throughout any healthcare organization," said Kerry Ann Hayon, the Vice President for the...
