Netflix’s fabled “culture deck,” which over the years has taken on the importance of the Magna Carta in tech and business circles, has gotten some updates reflecting the streaming giant’s current circumstances. The document, which is based on a PowerPoint deck created by Co-Founder and Co-CEO Reed Hastings, lays out precepts guiding employee priorities and the company’s overall approach. It has been posted publicly for years, revised at various intervals, and viewed more than 20 million times. A woman who says she lost her pregnancy as a result of injuries sustained during the Astroworld Festival crowd-crush is suing Travis Scott and the festival organizers for the wrongful death of her unborn baby.  Shanazia Williamson and her husband Jarawd Owens of Dayton, Ohio, say they were expecting a child when they attended the Astroworld Festival on November 5, 2021. They say they lost the fetus due to injuries Williamson sustained at the festival.  10 people were killed during the crowd-crush at the Astroworld music festival in Houston, Texas, last November, and nearly 5,000 say they were injured. There will not be a fifth season for Legacies. The CW has canceled The Originals spinoff from Julie Plec (The Vampire Diaries), Warner Bros. TV and CBS Studios, after four seasons. Legacies was on the bubble, but had a slight edge due to its ties to one of the CW’s signature series, The Vampire Diaries, but ultimately the CW decided not to go forward with another season as the network has been making some tough calls as it prepares for a sale. One of modern comedy’s greatest talents made one final stand-up special before he passed away — and it’s been kept a secret, until now. Norm Macdonald, who died last September at the age of 61, privately shot an unreleased one-hour stand-up special. The acclaimed Saturday Night Live actor-comedian known for his deadpan delivery was diagnosed with cancer in 2012 but kept his illness private. Producers of Alec Baldwin’s infamous film “Rust” denied allegations on Thursday that they ignored gun safety measures before the tragic shooting that led to Halyna Hutchins’ death. Baldwin and several other producers on the film filed a court motion saying that they “did not ‘willfully’ violate any safety protocol” and “enforced all applicable safety protocols,” reported the BBC. According to the document, “any actors handling guns received sufficient training, and assistant directors were instructed to hold safety meetings on days when firearms were used.” The document filed by the film’s producers state that a meeting did indeed take place the day of the shooting.
