As virus surges in some US states, emergency rooms swamped – News 12 Bronx

A fast-rising rising tide of new coronavirus cases is flooding emergency rooms in parts of the United States, with some patients moved into hallways and nurses working extra shifts to keep up with the surge. Patients struggling to breathe are being placed on ventilators in emergency wards since intensive care units are full, officials say, and the near-constant care they require is overtaxing workers who also are treating more typical ER cases like chest pains, infections, and fractures. MORE: LIVE BLOG - Coronavirus updates from the tri-state area and beyond  In Texas, Dr. Alison Haddock of the Baylor College of Medicine said the current situation is worse than after Hurricane Harvey, which swamped Houston with floodwaters in 2017. Brain fog, fatigue, breathlessness. Long-term symptoms linger on for many coronavirus victims – CNN

Now, three months later, the 42-year-old still experiences breathing difficulties. "Once back home, even after weeks I couldn't see any progress: if I took a small walk, it was like climbing Mount Everest. I was out of breath also just for talking. I was very worried," he said. The Motor City Machine Guns reunite for the first time in over two years – Cageside Seats

Impact is promising a ton of surprises for tonight’s Slammiversary pay-per-view (PPV). The show opened with one of those. The Rascalz (Dez and Wentz) had issued an open challenge for any tag team in the world. The assumption would be that Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, who announced they’re with Impact now, would accept that. But that was a bit of misdirection as the call was answered by Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. (It was awesome to hear their old Impact/TNA music, which was always a favorite of mine.) The Motor City Machine Guns haven’t teamed since May 2018 in Ring of Honor. Shelley has been working around the world since then, even teaming with Kushida for one match in NXT. But Chris Sabin hasn’t worked since early 2019. That was probably led to some of the story beh...

Prince Andrew a no-show at daughter Beatrices wedding – Page Six

The Duke of York was nowhere in sight for his Princess Beatrice’s wedding on Friday. Grandparents Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip were on hand for the socially distanced ceremony in Berkshire, but the Daily Mail reported Bea’s father was nowhere in sight as accusations continue to swirl over his repeated past visits to his pedophile pal Jeffrey Epstein’s now-infamous Little Saint James Island in the Caribbean. The royal family was nonetheless all smiles for the occasion. Beatrice, 31, who wedded businessman Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 37, wore an heirloom, diamond fringe tiara for her big day — the same topper Elizabeth wore at her wedding in 1947. Virginia Giuffre said Epstein had trafficked her when she was 17 years old, forcing her to have sex with his friends — includi...
