DUBLIN, Ireland -- A doctor based in Dublin, Ireland, has debunked the idea that a face mask lowers oxygen levels. In fact, he's shown that even wearing several has no effect. Kanye West Breaks Down, Makes Dubious Claim About Harriet Tubman at South Carolina Rally – Variety

Kanye West broke down in tears, made an outrageous claim about abolitionist Harriet Tubman, had a heckler ejected and claimed his brain was too big for his skull on Sunday at the first campaign event for his bewildering presidential run. “Harriet Tubman never actually freed the slaves, she just had them work for other white people,” he said at one point in a rambling speech that bounded from one topic to another with little seeming structure. At another moment, he broke down when sharing that he and wife Kim Kardashian West had considered an abortion (they have four children), and then said his own father wanted to have him aborted. “There would have been no Kanye West… because my dad was too busy!,” West sobbed. Apparently wearing a bulletproof vest, West sounded off on ...

A New York restaurant owner set fire to a table where Jeffrey Epstein and Harvey Weinstein used to sit – CNN

Zach Erdem, the owner of 75 Main in Southampton, said he wanted to erase their names from his restaurant's history. Epstein, who was awaiting trial on federal charges accusing him of sexually abusing underage girls, was found unresponsive in his cell at New York's Metropolitan Correctional Center in August of 2019. Law enforcement sources told CNN he died by suicide. Weinstein, a former Hollywood producer, was sentenced in March to 23 years in prison after being convicted of committing a criminal sex act in the first degree involving one woman and rape in the third degree involving another. When visiting 75 Main, the two used to dine at Table 1, according to Erdem. "When I thought about it, like Jeffrey Epstein used to sit at this table, all I could think was I need to burn thi...

WWEs The Horror Show at Extreme Rules recaps and analysis – ESPN

The Horror Show at Extreme Rules is the WWE's twist on a pay-per-view concept that has been around since 2009. Yes, there will be a tables match for the SmackDown tag team championships and a stipulation still to be announced as of show time for the WWE championship match between Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler. But WWE is also leaning in to some campy horror tropes. Universal champion Braun Strowman heads back to the swamp from whence he came to battle his creator of sorts, Bray Wyatt. There's a match in which either Seth Rollins or Rey Mysterio must pluck the other's eye out in order to be declared the winner. How that could possibly play out is anyone's guess. Keep an eye on the other three matches on the card, all with titles on the line. Each carries the potential of significant ram...

WWE Extreme Rules: Rey Mysterio lost his eye – Wrestling News

The Eye For An Eye Match between Rey Mysterio and Seth Rollins took place at The Horror Show at WWE Extreme Rules. The only way to win the match was to take the opponent’s eye out…literally. Notes written during the match: Both men each tried to go for each other’s eye in the opening minute. Rollins brought a kendo stick into the match. There was a nasty looking Falcon Arrow from Rollins to the back of Mysterio on the ring apron, the hardest part of the ring. After that move, Rollins tried to tear at Mysterio’s eye again. Rollins tried to use a rebar as a weapon but Mysterio ducked out of the way but Rollins was able to catch up to him and he went for the eye again and then he drove Rey into the barricade. Rollins tossed Rey into the ring and he was about to jam the kendo stick into the ...

Profile of a killer: Unraveling the deadly new coronavirus – KSL.com

NEW YORK (AP) — What is this enemy? Seven months after the first patients were hospitalized in China battling an infection doctors had never seen before, the world’s scientists and citizens have reached an unsettling crossroads. Countless hours of treatment and research, trial and error now make it possible to take much closer measure of the new coronavirus and the lethal disease it has unleashed. But to take advantage of that intelligence, we must confront our persistent vulnerability: The virus leaves no choice. “It’s like we’re in a battle with something that we can’t see, that we don’t know, and we don’t know where it’s coming from,” said Vivian Castro, a nurse supervisor at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Yonkers, just north of New York City, which struggled with its caseload this spr...
