Harry Styles Wrote This Song For Ariana Grandes First Album; Fans React With Who Hurt Harry? – Showbiz Cheat Sheet

After years with One Direction and two highly successful solo albums, Harry Styles is one of the most well-known artists today. While his personal sound is pretty different as a solo artist than it was while a part of the boy band, it seems like his writing style doesn’t differ all that much. While Styles’ definitely evolved, a powerful ballad he wrote for Ariana Grande’s first album hits all the right notes that his fans have come to love about his music.  (L) Harry Styles on Feb. 26, 2020 on the TODAY Show / (R) Ariana Grande performs onstage during the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards at Staples Center on Jan. 26, 2020 | Nathan Congleton/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank / Kevork Djansezian/Getty ImagesRELATED: Ariana Grande Broke 2 Mariah Carey Records, But There’s 1 She’ll Never Take ...

‘It’s a Risk for Everybody’: Why a Jazz Pianist Chose to Perform – The New York Times

On Saturday, four months and 10 days since his last public performance, the Grammy-winning jazz pianist Bill Charlap came out to play. It was the torrid start of a July heat wave, and though he knew the club where he was headed to in the Pennsylvania hamlet of Delaware Water Gap would not be air-conditioned as a precaution against viral transmission, he packed a dark blue Zegna suit into the back seat of his Nissan Rogue. “The people I always looked up to dressed well,” he said. “Performing is a time of honor. It’s a dignified thing. We dignify each other.” But in these times, to perform at all will require substantial adaptations, ones that keep the audience sparse and distant and possibly alter that alchemic connection between artist and listener that the best shows create. Cha...

‘MacGyver’ Star Lucas Till Says Toxic Boss Peter Lenkov Made Him Suicidal – Deadline

MacGyver star Lucas Till says in a new interview that the toxic on-set environment created by former executive producer Peter M. Lenkov drove the actor to the “breaking point,” and that the first year on the show left Till feeling “suicidal.” In a new Vanity Fair report, Till says he was subjected to bullying, verbal abuse and body-shaming by Lenkov, who was fired by CBS Television Studios earlier this month following an investigation into a complaint about a toxic environment on MacGyver. “I’ve never worked this hard in my life, and I am fine with hard work,” Till tells Vanity Fair’s Maureen Ryan. “But the way Peter treats people is just unacceptable. I was suicidal that first year on the show, because of the way he made me feel. But the way he’s treated the people around me —...

Britney Spears Drama Mansion Hits Market at Major Price Drop – TMZ

Britney Spears' old digs -- the home that served as the backdrop when the singer went into free fall, shaved her head and ended up being involuntarily committed -- is back on the market, and anyone who still has millions of bucks can now get it for a steal. The pop singer's former Beverly Hills mansion -- where she lived after her divorce from Kevin Federline until 2012 -- is up for grabs for $6.8 million ... a pretty significant reduction from $9 mil when it was put up for sale in 2018. The 7,500-sq.-ft Italian villa-esque home comes with 6 bedrooms and 6.5 baths, but it's mostly known for its fortress-like qualities ... making it a draw for celebs and other rich folks looking to live in one of the top gated communities in L.A. The property's described ...

Oxford coronavirus vaccine trial results “extremely encouraging,” U.K. government says – CBS News

A senior British official has called the latest news on an Oxford University team's potential coronavirus vaccine "extremely encouraging." The results of the Phase I/II trial of the vaccine being developed by Oxford's Jenner Institute, in conjunction with pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca, showed that it is safe and "produced strong immune results," according to the research published on Monday in The Lancet medical journal. The vaccine caused a 2-pronged immune response, a news release from the Jenner Institute at Oxford said. First, within 14 days, it triggered a T cell response, generating white blood cells that can attack infected cells. Second, within 28 days, it provoked an antibody response. Antibodies are able to prevent the virus from infecting cells when it is initially co...
