Inside Kanye Wests bipolar disorder and Twitter rants – New York Post

Kanye West’s troubled mental state has been on full view over the last few days. A series of concerning tweets and public appearances have likely been the result of the 43-year-old rapper’s bipolarism, his wife Kim Kardashian said. Kardashian, 39, and her family have been the subjects of his ultrapersonal rants, including the claim that she wanted to abort their first child together and implied that she might have been unfaithful in their marriage in a now-deleted tweet. But Kardashian took to Instagram Wednesday to explain West’s behavior and ask their fans and foes for understanding. “As many of you know, Kanye has [bipolar] disorder,” she wrote of her husband’s meltdown. “Those who are close with Kanye know his heart and understand his words [sometimes] do not align with ...

Multiple vaccine doses could be necessary to protect from coronavirus, Bill Gates says – CBS News

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates said Wednesday that people could need multiple doses of a potential coronavirus vaccine to immunize themselves from the coronavirus. If necessary, the multiple doses could require more than 7 billion vaccinations to be administered worldwide. "None of the vaccines at this point appear like they'll work with a single dose," Gates said. "That was the hope at the very beginning." The billionaire philanthropist, who has donated $300 million towards the global effort to combat COVID-19 through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, told "CBS Evening News" anchor and managing editor Norah O'Donnell that deploying a coronavirus vaccine will require a global effort. "If what you're trying to do is block all the transmission, then you need to get 70-80% co...

Covid-19 Patients No Longer Need Tests to End Isolation – The New York Times

Most Americans recovering from Covid-19 can come out of isolation without further testing to show they no longer carry the coronavirus, federal health officials said on Wednesday. Instead, patients may be judged to have recovered if 10 days have passed since they first felt ill; they no longer have any symptoms, such as shortness of breath or diarrhea; and they have not had a fever for 24 hours without taking fever-reducing medicine. The new recommendations are not rules but guidelines intended for patients, doctors and health policymakers. The revisions should help relieve the burden on the country’s testing system, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said. Previously, one way to get out of isolation was to have two negative diagnostic tests, also called PCR tests, for the vi...

Here’s everything coming to Netflix in August 2020 — and what’s leaving – MarketWatch

August is typically a slow month for TV series and a dumping ground for movies, and Netflix Inc. doesn’t seem to be immune from that trend. While Netflix NFLX, -0.05% still has dozens of original series, specials and movies on tap for August 2020, barely a handful have mass appeal. The most promising of the bunch are Season 5 of “Lucifer” (Aug. 21), the cult favorite that Netflix rescued from Fox about a bored devil who works with the LAPD as a side hustle; “Hoops” (Aug. 21), an animated comedy about a foul-mouthed high school basketball coach, with voice work from Jake Johnson and Ron Funches; and “Project Power,” (Aug. 14), a blockbuster-ish action movie about a pill that gives people superpowers for 5 minutes at a time, starring Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt...
