Whats Your Favorite One Direction Album? Vote! – Billboard

We're celebrating 10 years of One Direction today (July 23), and in honor of the group's milestone anniversary, we can't help but think of all the great music they've delivered over the past decade. 2011's debut Up All Night made fans fall in love with the then-teenage fivesome with hit songs like "One Thing," "Gotta Be You" and, of course, "What Makes You Beautiful." In 2012, the group followed up with the fun-loving Take Me Home, which introduced us to classics like "Live While We're Young," "Kiss You" and "Little Things." Following their annual streak, 1D came in with their third studio album, Midnight Memories, in 2013, featuring a more mature sound on songs like "Story of My Life," "You & I" and the title track. 2014 brought the fittingly titled fourth album, FOUR, w...

State reports another day with more than 1,000 new coronavirus cases – WBAY

MADISON, Wis. (WBAY) - For the second time in three days, Wisconsin received more than 1,000 tests that were positive for the coronavirus. The state received 14,212 tests during the 24-hour period ending Thursday morning, and 1,052 were positive. That’s 7.4%. That’s comparable to Tuesday, when the state had a record 1,117 positive results from 14,488 tests, or 7.71%. But it’s a reversal from Wednesday, when 712 results were positive out of even more tests -- 14,780 tests, or 4.82%. That was the first time since July 7 that positive results were below 5%. The percentage of positive tests is a key indicator of how successfully the state is containing the spread of the virus. Positive coronavirus tests were reported in 62 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties and eight of the 15 counties in Michigan...

Some Inactive Drug Ingredients May Be Anything But, Study Finds – Gizmodo

A bottle of generic aspirinPhoto: Tim Boyle (Getty Images) Some inactive ingredients commonly found in medicines may not be so inactive after all, according to a new study published today. Researchers found evidence in the lab that several ingredients, including certain dyes and preservatives, are capable of affecting proteins, receptors, and other parts of our biology, possibly in important and noticeable ways. The findings aren’t proof that these ingredients can harm people, but they do suggest further research is needed. The scientists looked at thousands of inactive ingredients, also known as excipients. They screened them for their potential to interact or bond with any number of molecular targets found in the body’s cells, including those that regulate our levels of important ...

Chelsea wants what Martha has. On Tuesday, Martha Stewart donned a bathing suit and posted a sultry swimming pool selfie that social media fell head-over-heels for. If I look this good at 78 I better still have a pool to show myself off in,” Handler, 45, wrote on Instagram. Fans were lapping up the copycat post. “Omg so freaking good,” wrote Nicole Scherzinger, while Katie Couric reacted with a simple “😊” emoji. However, it seems Stewart wasn’t so delighted. “I’m so happy that you liked my post well enough to emulate it,” she critiqued. “I do think my pool is a little bit prettier than yours and that my faci...

AMC movie theaters delay reopening — again – New York Post

AMC, the world’s largest movie theater chain, is delaying its reopening yet again as Hollywood studios push back the release of their planned summer blockbusters. The company said Thursday that it won’t resume ticket sales at its US theaters until “mid-to-late August” due to the fact that there are no new movies to show. AMC had been planning on a phased reopening kicking off July 15 with the hope of being fully operational by July 24, but pushed back the plan July 30 late last month. The latest delay comes just days after Warner Bros. indefinitely postponed the release of its big-budget spy film, “Tenet,” which had been slated to hit theaters on August 12. Warner Bros. cited spikes in coronavirus cases across the US for the move. “This new timing reflects currently expected...
