The National’s Aaron Dessner had a big hand in Swift’s surprise release, which was shaped in isolation and features a collaboration with Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon on the track “Exile.” Speaking with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Dessner explained how the album, accompanied by haunting, black and white images, was sonically shaped by the lockdown. While most of 2020's anticipated big releases--including Christopher Nolan's Tenet and Disney's live action Mulan--no longer have a confirmed release window, AMC is hoping to re-open its theatres in mid to late August as the costs of being shuttered mount. According to a Business Wire report, the date reflects the expected eventual release dates of some of the delayed films. Taylor Swift surprise released her eighth album folklore overnight along with a lyric video for every damn song on the album (yep, all 16). And it's not over yet -- there's one more folklore tune that isn't available on streaming. The song in question, "The Lakes," will be on physical versions of the folklore album, which is available on CD, cassette and vinyl.
