Clone High Reboot Coming to MTV from Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and Bill Lawrence – Collider.com

Great news, everyone! The beloved yet short-lived animated comedy series Clone High is getting re-imagined for MTV, and the original creators are onboard. You may or may not know that Phil Lord and Chris Miller — the wildly successful (and Oscar-winning) filmmakers behind movies like The LEGO Movie and 21 Jump Street – got their start co-creating Clone High in the early 2000s. The show only ran for 13 episodes on MTV in the U.S. and on Teletoon in Canada, but it built up a cult following for its tremendous sense of humor and unique premise. Like the original, “Clone High” will follow prominent historical figures who have been cloned and placed back in high school, including Abraham Lincoln, Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, John F. Kennedy, and more, as they face ...

Amanda Kloots husband Nick Cordero needs a double lung transplant to live the life he would want – Daily Mail

Amanda Kloots has given an emotional update on her Broadway actor husband Nick Cordero, who is currently fighting for his life in Cedars-Sinai hospital, Los Angeles, battling coronavirus-related health issues.  In an interview with Gayle King on CBS This Morning, Amanda said that the 'ultimate goal' is for Nick, 41, to have a double lung transplant to live the life he 'would want' but warned that a 'lot of things would have to line up' for him to be a candidate for that. The Tony-nominated actor has already had his leg amputated due to his health battle against the virus, although he is no longer in a coma and has now tested negative to COVID-19.  Update: Amanda Kloots says husband Nick Cordero will likely need a double lung transplant to live the life 'he would want'...

Sia Recalls Stopping Maddie Ziegler From Getting on a Plane With Harvey Weinstein – E! NEWS

When it comes to Maddie Ziegler, Sia is basically a bodyguard.  In an interview on the Zach Sang Show, the Grammy-nominated performer reflected on her relationship with Maddie Ziegler, the Dance Moms reality star who amassed greater solo fame at 11 years old after starring in Sia's "Chandelier" music video in 2014.  Over the years—and many music videos together—the songstress has become a mentor, friend and protective parental figure to the now-teenage multi-hyphenate.  "As soon as I met Maddie, I felt extreme desire to protect her and I think that it was part of my own healing," Sia said during the interview. "I felt just extreme compulsion to protect her and yet the irony is that I didn't want to be famous and I threw this child into the spotlight and she would say to me, 'Don't be sill...

Virginia July 2 COVID-19 update: Hampton Roads reports another daily high in new cases, record 53 in Norfolk – WAVY.com

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — While Virginia’s new daily COVID-19 numbers are staying steady, Hampton Roads is continuing to see record breaking numbers. On Thursday, the region added 147 new cases, breaking a one-day record of 144 set on June 26. Those high numbers are not just spikes caused by lag in reporting, as cases have exceeded 100 for five of the past seven days. The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission tracks the cases locally in graphs, but they had not been updated at the time of publication. The Virginia Department of Health’s graph of cases in the Eastern District, which includes Hampton Roads and the Eastern Shore, shows most of the new cases involve people who started showing symptoms just over a week ago, between June 22 and June 24. With an incubat...

Did a Mutation Help the Coronavirus Spread? More Evidence, but Lingering Questions – The New York Times

For months, scientists have debated whether a variant of the coronavirus that has come to predominate in much of the world did so partly because it is more transmissible than other viruses. On Thursday, a team of researchers reported new evidence that is likely to deepen the debate rather than settle it, experts said; too many uncertainties remain, in a pandemic that changes shape by the day. The new report, posted by the journal Cell and led by investigators at Los Alamos National Laboratory, suggested that the variant did have such an advantage. Other researchers said the findings were not yet definitive. The underlying question is as important as ever, both for understanding the early phases of the pandemic and anticipating how it will progress in the coming months. If the genetic gl...
