How Fauci, 5 other health specialists deal with covid-19 risks in their everyday lives – The Washington Post

Elizabeth Connick, chief of the infectious diseases division and professor of medicine and immunobiology at the University of Arizona: I walk in the morning and never wear a mask walking around in my neighborhood. Even if you see somebody, you can keep your distance. But I do wear it otherwise. I don’t wear one inside my own office, but I do wear one in the general office area. I wasn’t wearing one before, but now everyone is masking because we have more covid spread [in Arizona]. Paul A. Volberding, professor of medicine and emeritus professor of epidemiology and biostatistics at the University of California at San Francisco: I wear a mask most of the time, although not inside the house or sitting outside on my second-floor deck. I think people are crazy not to be wearing masks. The ev...

Hamilton on Disney+: Why we’ll never stop fighting about this brilliant, frustrating musical – Vox.com

The smash-hit Broadway musical Hamilton arrives in movie form on Disney+ this weekend, making it accessible to more people than ever before. And with this glossy composite recording of the show comes a long-standing public debate: Is Hamilton a brilliant, visionary reframing of the narrative of America; a revisionist apologetic paying undue worship to the founding fathers; or an unholy mix of both? The timing of the film adaptation’s arrival helps to renew this argument. Disney+ is releasing Hamilton just in time for the Fourth of July, appropriate for the musical’s trappings of lavish patriotism. It also drops in concert with the most intense US political protests in recent memory — protests whose spirit the musical, by centering actors of color in a racebent narrative about revolu...

Daughter of TSN host Dan OToole safe after going missing, Instagram plea – New York Post

Canadian sportscaster Dan O’Toole announced that his 1-month-old daughter Oakland is safe hours after revealing she had gone missing Thursday night. “My baby Oakland has been found and is said to be safe,” he wrote on Twitter. “Police informed me at 12:07am. I still have not seen Oakland or held her. To those that have decided to attack me for fearing for my daughters safety, I don’t know what to say.” The good news came after O’Toole, 44, a former Fox Sports personality and current TSN host, posted a photo of Oakland with a plea later Thursday evening. “My baby Oakland. I’m praying that whoever has you, is holding you. That whoever has taken you from me, is protecting you,” he wrote on Instagram. “That however [sic] has you, let’s you come back into my arms. I love you Oakl...

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott Are Not Putting Pressure on Getting Back Together, Source Explains – Showbiz Cheat Sheet

For two years, Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott appeared to be the perfect couple. The pair met at Coachella in 2017, and from that first connection, the duo was joined at the hip. The makeup mogul was immediately enamored with the Houston-born rapper and decided to follow him on tour. By the top of the following year, the pair were welcoming their daughter, Stormi, into the world. From lavish trips and gifts to playdates with Stormi, the young couple seemed to be on the right track. Though they were open about their love with one another with PDA, they kept their issues private and out of the spotlight. However, that all came to a screeching halt in September 2019 when the pair called it quits seemingly out of the blue. Since there has never been any animosity between...

Why do some men take so long to poop? – Live Science

If you've ever wondered why men take so long to poop, you may have found yourself asking if there's a medical reason. Why else would some men take so much longer than women to take care of their business?  The answer, however, does not appear to be anatomical. In fact, men might actually be quicker in discharging their defecatory duties than women are. One 2009 study in the journal Gender Medicine sought to investigate the gender differences of various pooping plights. The researchers looked at constipation, stool consistency, the need to use fingers to evacuate, and a host of other less-than-pleasant doody-related conditions. The team concluded that women were more likely to experience "abnormal bowel habits" and constipation than men.  In other words, women tend to have more bowel-...
