Alec Baldwin opened up about his first day working since the accidental death of Halyna Hutchins on the Rust set October 21 following a fatal shooting in which Baldwin had an antique Colt .45 revolver in his hand.
The actor, 63, took to Instagram Tuesday as he was in Hampshire, England working on another film, saying, ‘It’s strange to go back to work.
‘I said I would keep a little diary of when I was traveling and working,’ Baldwin said in the clip. ‘We had our first day today which is always tricky. I don’t work as much as I used to … you go to work and you forget what you’re supposed to do.’

Baldwin said he hasn’t ‘worked since October 21 of last year when this horrible thing happened on the set of this film and the accidental death of our cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.’
Baldwin said he continues to ‘find that hard to say’ nearly four months after the tragic incident.
‘I went back to work today for the first time in three-and-a-half months,’ he said. ‘Movies are nearly always the same – everyone’s young compared to me, everyone’s young. Especially in independent films where there are good people, there are very good people.’
Baldwin commented how independent films often feature young people earlier in their careers working hard under time constraints.

Baldwin opened up about how he misses his children as he remains on location working.
Baldwin and wife Hilaria, 38, are parents to six children – daughter Carmen, eight, and sons Rafael, six, Leonardo, five, Romeo, three, and Eduardo, one and newborn Lucia, one; Alec is also father to model Ireland Baldwin, 26.
‘I miss my kids, I miss my Carmen, she’s so funny,’ he said. ‘All my kids are so unique. I guess everybody who has a lot of kids feels that way. You can’t get over how different they are, so different, my kids are so different.’
In the clip, Baldwin said he looked forward to reuniting with his children after he’s done with his project.
‘I’ll be here for a few more days, and then who knows what the future will bring,’ Baldwin said. ‘I get to go home and see all my little people, and one big person, although she’s not big, not big at all. She’s kind of tiny. Hasta mañana.’
